The Regular Meeting of the Bedford Township Board was called to order by Wilburn at 7:00 PM followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Motion was made by Goebel, seconded by Hurley to approve the agenda as presented, Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Excused: Meyer. RESOLUTIONS/PROCLAMATIONS REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF 2009/10 SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS APPROPRIATIONS RESOLUTION Francis spoke, stating this is one of the resolutions tabled from the last board meeting and explained the adjustments made to each special revenue fund. Motion was made by Francis, seconded by O’Dell to approve the 2009/10 Special Revenue Funds Appropriations Resolution, as presented. Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Excused: Meyer. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2009/10 GENERAL FUND BUDGET Francis spoke, stating this is the second resolution that had been tabled from the last board meeting and is a counterpoint to the special revenue funds appropriations resolution just approved. He then explained the various account adjustments. Motion was made by Francis, seconded by Hurley to approve the Resolution Amending the 2009/10 General Fund Budget, as presented. Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Excused: Meyer. CONSENT AGENDA – Motion was made by Hurley, seconded by Goebel to approve the consent agenda as published, motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, Meyer, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Absent: None. PUBLIC COMMENTS – Mike Sprott, 8872 Tanglewood, spoke. Judy Frankowski, 1115 Ashland, spoke. REPORTS FROM STAFF – CHANGE ORDER INFORMATION FOR FIRE DEPT. #56 RENOVATION Francis spoke, explaining this report, and stating the project is still within budgeted guidelines and is expected to be complete by early December. Motion was made by Francis, seconded by Hurley to approve the change order list, for the Fire Dept. #56 renovation, as presented. Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Excused: Meyer. NEW BUSINESS – APPROVAL OF BILLS- Motion was made by Schockman, seconded by Goebel to approve the following vouchers for payment: General Fund-$70,582.84, Fire District-$16,274.81, Police Fund-$310.03, Park Fund-$1,801.63, Metro Act Fund-$833.00, Brownfield Redevelopment Auth. Fund-$175.00, Building Inspection Fund-$162.23, Library Operating Fund-$6,570.08, EDC Fund-$85.00, DDA Fund-$4,254.03, Sewer Operation & Main. Fund-$46,291.03, & Trust & Agency Fund-$2,536.70, for a total of $149,876.38. Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, Meyer, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Absent: None. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF 2010 TMACOG FEES Schockman spoke, stating the benefits of membership in this organization. Wilburn and Francis spoke in support of the board approving this request. Motion was made by Schockman, seconded by Goebel to approve the payment of the 2010 TMACOG fees, at a cost of $5,319.00. Motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, O’Dell, Schockman, Goebel, Hurley, & Wilburn. Nays: None. Excused: Meyer. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC Mike Sprott, 8872 Tanglewood, spoke. Judy Frankowski, 1115 Ashland, spoke. REPORT FROM TOWNSHIP BOARD MEMBERS Hurley – Reported as CERTS liaison, that members of CERTS volunteered to assist during the H1N1 clinics held in Bedford Township, despite large crowds, all went well. She congratulated the CERTS volunteers on their hard work. Goebel – Wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and mentioned supporting the idea of a Christmas party as long as it was held at no cost to the township. Francis – Commented positively on how well organized the H1N1 clinics were. Schockman – Also commented positively on how well organized the H1N1 clinics were, and encouraged residents to contact the local VFW and American Legion to help support our troops this Christmas season. Wilburn – Thanked the board, the high school students attending the meeting, residents who spoke, and CERTS volunteers as well as all volunteers. He also mentioned the many veterans’ activities that have taken place in the last week. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. Robert A. Schockman Garnet Francis
