You may also click here (Voter Registration Application) for an application.Simply fill out the application and mail it back to our offices. If you register to vote by mail, you must vote in person at the first election in which you choose to vote. After you have voted in person the first time, an absentee ballot can be used to vote in succeeding elections.

Absentee Ballot

Bedford Township has a permanent absentee voter list. It consists of persons 60 years of age or over as well as handicapped persons who wish to have the option to vote absentee. If you meet the criteria and wish to be on this list, either call or write the Clerk's Department at Bedford Township Hall to be added to this list. Prior to any general election (45-60 days), an absentee ballot application will be mailed to you. This application must be filled out and returned, either by mail or in person and an absentee ballot will be issued. If you decide you would rather vote at the polls, just destroy the application and go to the polls on Election Day. For School elections: if someone on the permanent absentee list wishes to vote absentee, he/she may call the township hall and an application will be sent. After the township receives a completed application, the ballot will be issued.

A registered voter who will not be available to vote in an upcoming election may request an absentee ballot for that election. After the township receives a completed application, the ballot will be issued.

In order to have your absentee ballot counted, it must be received at the township hall by 8:00 pm on the day of the election.
